About the role

  • Associate Director for Architecture and Analytics leading data solutions for Galderma's IT team. Ensuring effective analytics solutions and working with multi-regional project teams for optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and consultancy to central and regional project teams, IT Service Owners, Managed Services, and Application Support teams to ensure solutions are designed, delivered and sustained at the right level of integration, leveraging accurate and compliant technology
  • Share design and solutions across functional areas and regions to ensure collaboration, and facilitate synergies
  • Make sure solutions are designed to maximize both global and business ROI
  • Ensure consistency of solution design across areas to support integrated reporting and analytics and to facilitate widespread adoption of use cases
  • Manage the portfolio of "as is" and "to be" solutions, ensuring they are documented and communicated effectively
  • Act as the main point of contact for project, security, architecture, and infrastructure teams
  • Coordinate activities between internal/external resources for data acquisition, engineering, development, delivery and hyper-care/sustain
  • Conduct design reviews for new solutions and major changes to existing solutions
  • Identify and review gaps in capability, and validate options
  • Exceptional ability to collaborate and work effectively with a diverse group of teams (either onsite or virtual), functional areas, and individuals
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment and to communicate across all levels of the organization
  • Recruit, develop and grow a strong pipeline of platform engineering professionals.
  • Provide budgeting and resources for projects
  • Provide guidance and support for acquiring external/internal data for Analytics and data hub
  • Provide requirements and priorities for data acquisition, establishing and standardizing the processes for loading and maintaining critical 1P, 2P and 3P data
  • Oversee and manage resources
  • Ensure consistent data models with clear guidelines for localization
  • Ensure data is enabled at the right level of Integration
  • Leverage existing data standards, and identify gaps in data standards and raise them to data and architectural leadership
  • Govern tools and functionalities roadmap, and ensure that the front-end tools are correctly positioned, with the necessary capabilities to fully exploit them for key data and reporting initiatives
  • Maintain and drive adoption of global templates and accelerators
  • Enhance skills and capabilities in frontend solution design, user experience and data visualization
  • Facilitate usage of solutions in front-end tools, including PowerBI, etc.
  • Partner with the Business Unit, global and functional business stakeholders to facilitate an understanding of key business concerns requiring advanced analytics
  • Provision, deploy and industrialize Galderma compliant data science toolset
  • Streamline Integration with data science tools and facilitate usage of advanced analytics solutions
  • Influence architecture and data models to empower advanced analytics
  • Collaborate on the front-end user interfaces for the deployment of advanced analytics
  • Identify advanced analytic initiatives that can be scaled and industrialize them
  • Conduct design reviews for new mathematical (R) solutions and major changes to existing solutions
  • Guide projects to identify the best approach for modeling data for mathematical analysis
  • Lead, organize and coordinate teams for the delivery of effective and low-cost, application sustain and monitoring services
  • Ensure Sustain services are built into all future deployments of applications
  • Identify gaps in solutions support, and liaise with service providers to resolve them
  • Manage the knowledge requirements, transfer & approach of the support teams
  • Create the mechanism for triggering support and maintenance with the goal of ticket reductions and overall efficiencies
  • Collaborate with Service Management and external teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years plus experience managing onshore and offshore teams
  • 10-plus years work experience in managing data-related activities within a Commercial organization
  • Minimum 5 years plus in Business Intelligences Reporting or/and Visualization tools
  • Strong experience with design, development, and deployment of multiple complex or large-scale operational analytics capabilities
  • Fluent in Azure cloud data architecture, orchestration, and data integration patterns (Data Factory, Event Hub, Databricks, etc.), storage and processing (Datalake, Snowflake)
  • Experience with the implementation of self-service analytic solutions such as Powerbi, or BOBJ (Business Objects) strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with DevOps best practices and automation of documentation, testing, build, deployment, configuration, and monitoring
  • Good understanding of azure cloud PaaS services like security, monitoring, logging, scaling, etc.
  • Familiar with data frameworks such as Data Fabric, Data Mesh, Data Lakehouse
  • Broad knowledge of predictive analytic techniques and statistical diagnostics of models
  • Experience with health care data as well as FMCG/CPG industries
  • Education: Master’s degree or equivalent with a specialization in IT or information systems
  • PMP Certification is a plus.
  • Scrum master certification is a plus.
