About the role

  • VP of Finance serving as the principal financial architect at Fundraise Up. Leading a team, financial planning, and scaling infrastructure for growth.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a key member of the company’s senior leadership team, providing the financial lens for all major business decisions, including geographic expansion, M&A, and product pivots.
  • Lead the preparation and presentation of financial narratives for the Board of Directors and external investors.
  • Transform the FP&A function from a reporting shop into a predictive engine. Lead the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and long-range planning (LRP) to ensure alignment with our 3-5 year roadmap.
  • Work as a partner to the Executive Leadership Team to optimize the 'Growth Engine,' analyzing marketing, product, customer, and sales productivity to drive efficient revenue growth.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a high-impact leadership role within a venture-backed or private equity-backed environment.
  • Proven ability to look beyond the P&L to identify business drivers and risks.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA or CPA highly preferred.
  • Mastery of US GAAP is required, but must be paired with deep expertise in SaaS metrics and complex financial modeling. Experience in consumption based models is highly preferred.
  • Experience transitioning a company from 'startup' tools (Quickbooks/Mosaic) to 'scale-up' environments (NetSuite, Campfire, or similar).
  • A track record of mentoring directors and managers, fostering a culture of high accountability and continuous improvement.
