About the role

  • Geotechnical Engineer managing geotechnical projects in Berlin for Fugro, collaborating with international teams and conducting field investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Independent project work in the field of geotechnical engineering, both domestically and internationally
  • Planning, coordination and execution of geotechnical site investigations
  • Carrying out geotechnical sampling and field and laboratory testing
  • Geological/geotechnical description and classification of soils and rocks
  • Preparation of reports and review of results
  • Managing projects with regard to quality, cost, schedule and safety requirements in coordination with the team leader and project managers
  • Collaboration with project-related subcontractors

Requirements

  • University degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology or a comparable field
  • Relevant professional experience
  • Confident and professionally competent appearance with strong communication skills
  • Conflict management skills and strong negotiation ability
  • Willingness to work interculturally and internationally; team player
  • Proficient use of Office software and ArcGIS
  • Fluent German (C2) and very good English (at least B2)
  • Valid driver's license (car)
