About the role

  • Senior Manager in Controllership ensuring compliance and integrity of financial information at FTD Educação. Leading finance teams and managing various financial processes with a focus on governance.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the integrity of the publishing house's and its printing plant's accounting, financial and tax information, guaranteeing regulatory compliance, strong internal controls and quality institutional reporting; acting as guardian of financial discipline and compliance culture.
  • Lead the Cost & Inventory, Royalties, and other financial processes from a controllership perspective.
  • Ensure proper accounting for publishing, manufacturing and logistics operations in accordance with applicable accounting, tax and regulatory standards.
  • Be responsible for the accounting close, reconciliations, provisions, variance analyses and the quality of the financial statements.
  • Prepare institutional reporting for Executive Management, the Board and internal stakeholders, ensuring consistency, traceability and credibility of information.
  • Act with an integrated tax perspective, assessing tax impacts of operations, contracts, the printing production chain and publishing sales models.
  • Strengthen and safeguard the internal control environment, policies, standards and procedures, mitigating operational, accounting and tax risks.
  • Lead and structure process, systems and governance improvement projects focused on efficiency, standardization and sustainability.
  • Coordinate with areas such as Editorial, Manufacturing, Supply, Sales, Legal and IT to promote a culture of control, compliance and financial responsibility.
  • Serve as the focal point for internal and external audits, inspections and independent reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related fields.
  • Solid experience in controllership, preferably in industrial and/or publishing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial costing, inventories, royalties (author rights) and indirect taxation.
  • Experience in internal controls, compliance and corporate governance.
  • Proven ability to manage technical teams and cross-functional projects.
  • Analytical, organized profile, with an institutional demeanor and sense of ownership.
