About the role
- BIM/CAD OpenRoads Designer with Freese and Nichols responsible for documenting production processes and extending BIM/CAD capabilities. Requires experience in engineering design and technical support.
Responsibilities
- Understand the project requirements, scope of work, and deliverables
- Provide leadership in taking a holistic view of the project and making independent project-level decisions
- Maintain strong knowledge of company, industry, and technical vocabulary to support effective project delivery
- Prepare detailed and layout drawings and sketches of designs
- Coordinate design with other disciplines and coordinate work sharing within the team
- Ensure output is professional, consistent with prevailing standards and satisfies project requirements
- Develop and implement new processes to ensure consistent quality
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in BIM/CAD drafting and design with a broad base in engineering design and technical support of engineering
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: BIM/CAD Associates Degree or Certification
