Research Associate (Postdoc) for IT Law Research & Contract Management. Supporting legal and contractual matters while conducting research in IT law at Fraunhofer Institute.
Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts in national and international contexts
Provide legal support for internal governance structures
Provide legal support for appointment procedures
Support legal issues arising in a research context
Conduct research in IT law, with a focus on data protection, cybersecurity, and research law
Write academic articles in German and English, with a strong emphasis on German and US law
Requirements
Law degree (Germany)
Knowledge of contract law, preferably in the scientific/research sector
Ideally, in-depth knowledge of US law, demonstrated, for example, by LL.M. studies, extended research stays, or professional experience in the USA
Independent and structured working style
Negotiation skills and strong communication abilities
Completed doctorate in a relevant legal field related to German or US law
Very good German (C2) and very good English (C1)
