About the role

  • Research Associate collaborating to create and implement zero-trust architecture in cybersecurity. Working within a renowned research team at Fraunhofer in Darmstadt.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate in the design and implementation of a zero-trust architecture for research institutions, including procurement, configuration, and evaluation
  • Conduct analyses to identify security requirements for research institutions and their IT infrastructures
  • Carry out test series to evaluate the developed security architectures in a real-world environment, including analysis and presentation of results
  • Support project management in coordinating project activities and communicating with project partners
  • Prepare scientific publications and reports and present research results at conferences and workshops

Requirements

  • Completed university degree (Master's or diploma) in computer science, IT security, information science, or a related field
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity, network security, and IT infrastructures
  • Experience with zero-trust architectures or related security concepts is an advantage
  • High degree of initiative and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
