About the role
- Advogado(a) Associado supporting clients in labor law issues and performing legal consultations for Fragata e Antunes. Engaging in complex legal proceedings and client interaction in Rio de Janeiro.
Responsibilities
- Mandatory duties.
- Client contact (primarily by email).
- Drafting and filing pleadings.
- General court filings.
- Use of the PJe system (electronic judicial filing system).
- Reviewing court publications and notices.
- Scheduling and deadline management.
- Providing consultancy and preparing legal opinions on labor rights and obligations, and applicable legislation.
- Representation in labor lawsuits (claims and defenses) at all levels of the Labor Court.
- Participation in hearings and oral arguments.
- Handling administrative proceedings (Ministry of Labor and the Labor Public Prosecutor's Office).
- Negotiation and mediation of judicial and extrajudicial settlements.
- Conducting audits to verify compliance with labor legislation and risk prevention.
- Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, contract addenda, and internal policies.
Requirements
- Law degree and active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB).
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written communication.
- Basic knowledge of legal systems and Microsoft Office suite.
