About the role
- Senior Corporate Counsel managing US Litigation & Investigations at biopharma company Sanofi. Responsible for handling diverse caseload including Talc/Asbestos litigation.
Responsibilities
- Support of a diverse caseload, including development of action plans and communication of issues, status, case developments and litigation risks.
- Caseload will include primarily Talc/Asbestos as well as some product liability and general commercial litigation, environmental, bankruptcy and providing assistance to other in-house-counsel on other matters, as needed.
- Supervise the collection and production of documents, preserving all privileges.
- Effectively manage outside counsel spend.
- Analyze complex situations, develop and communicate strategies and carry them out.
Requirements
- Excellent academic credentials, including a BA/BS and Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of legal experience.
- Licensed to practice law in a US state, and either in good standing in New Jersey or able to obtain a NJ limited license for in-house counsel.
- Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint and other corporate standard software - required.
- Experience for a pharma/biotech company, FDA or other relevant governmental agency, or for a law firm working on healthcare-related matters.
