About the role
- Mobile QA responsible for implementing and maintaining test automation and conducting manual testing within a mobile scrum team. Requires experience in mobile QA testing frameworks for both iOS and Android.
Responsibilities
- Write well-designed, modular, and testable code.
- Develop, improve, and extend reusable components and libraries.
- Identify test gaps and prioritize adding coverage based on areas of risk.
- Contribute and grow our mobile automation code and framework for both iOS and Android.
- Document defects in products and update resolution in the ticket management system, JIRA.
- Take ownership of test failures and ensure the CI system is reliable.
- Troubleshoot and debug automated test failures within the automation project.
- Maintain knowledge of current testing approaches, tools, and technologies.
- Work with engineers to define and implement mechanisms to inject testing earlier into the software development process.
- Identify and drive adoption of best practices in code health, testing, testability, and maintainability.
- Participate in the release process and readiness all the way to Apple and Google Play store.
Requirements
- 2-8 yrs experience in Software development with focus on Quality Assurance on mobile applications in Continuous Integration, Continuous testing environment
- Experience creating automation scripts from existing framework and enhance the framework as required.
- Experience in mobile automation testing frameworks like Appium,Expresso/XCUITest
- Experience working with Simulators/emulators and cloud devices.
- Working experience with Appium Java or Ruby.
