About the role
- Senior Software Engineer developing innovative solutions for data security through confidential computing at Fortanix. Collaborating with a dynamic team to enhance data security in hybrid multicloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop tools and SDKs for confidential computing platforms.
- Support other teams within Fortanix to use tools related to confidential computing platforms developed internally
- Design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions that meet security and performance standards.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in security and confidential computing.
- Conduct code reviews, ensure best practices in software development, and maintain high standards of code quality.
- Drive the adoption of new tools, methodologies, and processes to improve development efficiency and product quality.
Requirements
- A passion for low-level software (mainly x86)
- Experience working with secure enclaves, confidential computing or Trusted Execution Environments (for example: Intel SGX, Intel TDX, AMD-SEV, Nitro Enclaves, etc).
- A knack for higher level construct to ensure code quality (e.g., Rust)
- Knowledgeable of the Linux kernel
- Dedication to be part of a small, young team and help it grow its expertise
- At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience with C/C++ or Rust
- Bachelor or Master in Computer Science, Information Security or related field
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
