About the role

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement legal strategies to support the company's regional business objectives, providing expert advice to senior management and other stakeholders on legal matters.
- Draft, negotiate, and review complex contracts, including commercial agreements, joint ventures, and mergers and acquisitions, to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks across the region, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

- Stay up-to-date on changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards, and ensure that the company's regional operations comply with relevant requirements.
- Work closely with other departments, such as marketing and sales, finance, EQO, ASO, to ensure that legal requirements are integrated into business operations.
- Provide regular reports and updates to the Regional Director of Legal Affairs on legal matters and communicate complex legal issues in a clear and concise manner.
Requirements
- Minimum 10-13 years of experience in multinational companies, with a focus on corporate law and compliance
- Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in managing a team of legal professionals
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Strong business acumen and understanding of commercial operations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience in compliance positions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal)
