About the role

  • Oversee the collection of fundamental data needed across Fitch Group, working extensively with other Data Operations teams
  • Ensure highest levels of data quality for Banks financials, validating data processed by analysts
  • Understand Fitch’s business priorities and resource constraints, translating strategic initiatives into practical projects
  • Maintain ownership and manage workloads effectively, while adapting to changes
  • Identify trends in fundamental data across jurisdictions and build consensus for standardized approach
  • Document methodologies on data definitions and identification in financial statements
  • Act as lead data steward for documentation of standardized terms in Collibra
  • Provide training and ongoing support to teams capturing fundamental data
  • Manage client service and stakeholder expectations with professionalism
  • Create key management reports and present results to stakeholders quarterly

Requirements

  • Experience of working with Banks financial data, in a financial institution, accountancy, auditing, counterparty credit risk environment, with an understanding of IFRS, GAAP & wider accounting fundamental processes.
  • Ability to work independently, whilst also being a strong leader with the ability to inspire others within a team environment.
  • A CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CFA qualified would be preferred.
  • To be a self-starter who can pick up new processes quickly and accurately.
  • Have a can-do attitude to problems.
