About the role
- Oversee the collection of fundamental data needed across Fitch Group, working extensively with other Data Operations teams
- Ensure highest levels of data quality for Banks financials, validating data processed by analysts
- Understand Fitch’s business priorities and resource constraints, translating strategic initiatives into practical projects
- Maintain ownership and manage workloads effectively, while adapting to changes
- Identify trends in fundamental data across jurisdictions and build consensus for standardized approach
- Document methodologies on data definitions and identification in financial statements
- Act as lead data steward for documentation of standardized terms in Collibra
- Provide training and ongoing support to teams capturing fundamental data
- Manage client service and stakeholder expectations with professionalism
- Create key management reports and present results to stakeholders quarterly
Requirements
- Experience of working with Banks financial data, in a financial institution, accountancy, auditing, counterparty credit risk environment, with an understanding of IFRS, GAAP & wider accounting fundamental processes.
- Ability to work independently, whilst also being a strong leader with the ability to inspire others within a team environment.
- A CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CFA qualified would be preferred.
- To be a self-starter who can pick up new processes quickly and accurately.
- Have a can-do attitude to problems.
