About the role

• Senior Engineer supporting stability, scalability, and security of cyber security and infrastructure environments at Fiserv. Collaborating across operations, production assurance, and security technology support.

Responsibilities

• Support the stability, scalability, and security of critical cyber security and infrastructure environments.
• Perform eyes-on-glass monitoring of system and technology events using industry-standard event presentation tools.
• Triage incoming emails and operational communications to ensure required actions are taken.
• Provide daily operational support for production systems and services to maintain reliability and availability.
• Monitor system performance using tools such as Moogsoft, Splunk, Dynatrace, CloudWatch, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Google SecOps, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and related platforms to detect anomalies and take corrective actions.
• Attend status meetings and communicate progress, risks, and support activity updates to stakeholders.
• Document production issues, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations, contributing to a shared knowledge base.
• Support incident, problem, and change management activities using IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and tools.
• Contribute to process improvements to enhance system performance and minimize downtime.

Requirements

• 6+ years of Information Technology experience
• 2+ years of experience in enterprise-level support and system administration
• Experience supporting SaaS platforms, with exposure to cloud environments (Azure, AWS, and/or GCP)
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker/container technologies, and web services (e.g., Apache, IIS)
• Strong understanding of Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, Remote Desktop Services (RDS), and Group Policy (GPO)
• Familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting (LAN, WAN, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SSH)
• Familiarity with IT security frameworks and security best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
