About the role
- Claims Manager overseeing Financial Lines and Cyber damage cases. Working autonomously as part of the Legal & Claims team at Finlex, a technology-driven broker.
Responsibilities
- You will independently handle claims in the Financial Lines area (primarily D&O and Cyber)
- You will assess claims from a coverage perspective and prepare recommendations for action
- You will compile claim files and prepare claim notifications
- You will support our partner brokers, direct clients and Finlex colleagues as the claims expert for questions about (potential) claims
- You will conduct correspondence with insurers, insureds, partner brokers and lawyers and support settlement negotiations
- You will issue legal opinions in cases of unjustified coverage denials
- In addition, you will act as a point of contact for legal questions of all kinds, particularly in insurance law
Requirements
- Experience handling Financial Lines claims at a broker, insurer or law firm
- Solid legal education and knowledge of insurance law
- Structured, independent and solution-oriented working style (including in an agile environment)
- Willingness to familiarize yourself with complex (claims) facts and cases
- Confident and professional demeanor
- Excellent written and spoken German and English
