About the role

  • Support the System's compliance functions and handle most issues independently.
  • Communicate frequently with internal and external customers and team members.
  • Perform a variety of tasks, data analytics, compliance reviews, routine processes and handle responsibilities requiring experience and judgement.
  • Solve a range of straightforward to more complex problems; analyze possible solutions using standard procedures or identify innovative solutions.
  • Participate in daily operational activities including: Analyze expense processing, apply accounts payable principles, perform problem resolutions, interact with internal and external customers, maintain accounts payable accounts, assist with month-end and year-end close activities, use software applications to prepare reports, and research for process improvements.
  • Participate in accounts payable projects and development of training materials and presentations.

Requirements

  • Completed BA degree in accounting, finance, or a directly related field and a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in accounting, preferably a Shared Services or consolidated environment.
  • Accounts Payable certification (APS) is a plus.
  • Proficient in the use of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, or similar reporting tools.
  • Experience with Workday and Ariba preferred but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with staff and all levels of management.
  • Demonstrate the ability to collaborate and work as a team player.
  • Takes the initiative to follow through on assignments or tasks.
  • Demonstrate aptitude to leverage relevant technology and software applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Use time effectively/efficiently, sets priorities with ability to multi-task.
  • Accountable, responsible and strives to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate openness to change, flexibility and adaptability.

  • Previous experience with data analytics, mining, and visualization a plus.
