About the role

  • Financial institutions examiner at KC Fed evaluating banking risks related to asset and liability management. Leading examination teams and guiding banking executives, while promoting a stable financial system.

Responsibilities

  • Using an inquisitive and analytical mindset and broad knowledge of banking risks to independently assess asset and liability management at banking organizations
  • Understanding and assessing how banks structure balance sheets, derivative contracts, and execute liquidity risk management strategies
  • Leading teams and investing in the development of peers by proactively sharing knowledge, training/mentoring others
  • Leveraging strong communication skills to lead meetings with executive leaders at financial institutions
  • Providing guidance to banking executives and coaching team members

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of banking industry experience related to asset and liability management
  • Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in applicable field, or relevant work experience
  • Experience demonstrating strong judgement, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments in a dynamic environment
  • Willingness and ability to travel 20-30 percent of the time
  • Ability to work out of our Kansas City, Denver, Oklahoma City, and/or Omaha office(s)
