About the role

  • Compliance Manager responsible for ensuring compliance with UK financial crime regulations at Paysafe. Collaborating with various teams and managing projects under CCO & MLRO's leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Keep abreast of applicable regulations, sanctions, legislation, prohibition and advisory notes from regulators and UK Government agencies
  • Collaborate with the CCO & MLRO and the Regulatory & Legal teams
  • Assume a leading role in project managing initiatives and change management plans on behalf of the UK CCO & MLRO Unit
  • Support the UK CCO & MLRO in the receipt and consideration of escalations from the business regarding consumers, merchants and/or framework/policy/procedural changes or new product launches which require approval and advice from the CCO & MLRO.
  • Coordinate correspondence and meetings/presentations with UK regulators, agencies and authorities
  • Prepare and deliver MLRO reports for the three UK entities
  • Review business-wide risk assessments for the three UK entities as well as product risk assessments
  • Collaborate with the Group SAR Team, in reviewing and filing SARs in a timely manner
  • Prepare and present material, management information and updates to the UK Boards and Committees
  • Communicate, engage, direct and train 1LoD teams and the rest of the business
  • Maintain record keeping covering escalations, decisions, remediation plans and MLRO reports
  • Manage any regulatory or external agency reviews and/or inquiries in collaboration with the Legal and Regulatory teams
  • Close collaboration with global Compliance teams, the Regulatory Reporting team and Regulatory/Legal teams
  • Develop and deliver management information to the CCO & MLRO on an ad-hoc basis
  • Collaborate with CCO & MLRO Unit Directors to ensure prompt delivery of above responsibilities

Requirements

  • Knowledge of UK financial crime regulations
  • Previous experience working in a financial crime compliance role, ideally within a payments or fintech environment
