Join Paysafe as an Associate Regulatory Counsel responsible for regulatory compliance. Analyze changes in regulation affecting product development across multiple jurisdictions.
Responsibilities
Track, identify and analyse regulatory changes across multiple jurisdictions and advise internal stakeholders on the applicability of those requirements to Paysafe.
Assist in advising business and product teams on applicable regulatory requirements including on the regulatory aspects of new product development and delivery channels.
Work closely with internal teams including Compliance, Product, Internal Audit, Risk, and Finance to ensure that regulatory requirements are understood and embedded in day to day processes.
Assist in managing Paysafe’s relationship with key regulators including preparation/co-ordination of responses to requests for information and participation in supervisory engagement meetings.
Support on the preparation of licensing applications to and registrations with regulators
Assist in preparing periodic reporting to internal Committees and Boards.
Draft positions papers, commentary, training, and knowledge sharing materials for internal and external circulation.
Co-ordinate responses to consultations on proposed regulatory changes and participate in related lobbying activity.
Represent Paysafe at external meetings including with industry bodies.
Requirements
Qualified lawyer with experience in financial services regulation gained in a financial institution, regulator or financial services department of a law firm with experience interacting with the regulatory authorities
Payments/E-Money industry experience preferred
Fluent in English
Team player with high self-motivation, positive ‘can-do’ attitude and collaborative approach
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal issues to multi-disciplinary teams
