About the role

  • Join Paysafe as an Associate Regulatory Counsel responsible for regulatory compliance. Analyze changes in regulation affecting product development across multiple jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

  • Track, identify and analyse regulatory changes across multiple jurisdictions and advise internal stakeholders on the applicability of those requirements to Paysafe.
  • Assist in advising business and product teams on applicable regulatory requirements including on the regulatory aspects of new product development and delivery channels.
  • Work closely with internal teams including Compliance, Product, Internal Audit, Risk, and Finance to ensure that regulatory requirements are understood and embedded in day to day processes.
  • Assist in managing Paysafe’s relationship with key regulators including preparation/co-ordination of responses to requests for information and participation in supervisory engagement meetings.
  • Support on the preparation of licensing applications to and registrations with regulators
  • Assist in preparing periodic reporting to internal Committees and Boards.
  • Draft positions papers, commentary, training, and knowledge sharing materials for internal and external circulation.
  • Co-ordinate responses to consultations on proposed regulatory changes and participate in related lobbying activity.
  • Represent Paysafe at external meetings including with industry bodies.

Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer with experience in financial services regulation gained in a financial institution, regulator or financial services department of a law firm with experience interacting with the regulatory authorities
  • Payments/E-Money industry experience preferred
  • Fluent in English
  • Team player with high self-motivation, positive ‘can-do’ attitude and collaborative approach
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal issues to multi-disciplinary teams
