About the role
- Project buyer in strategic purchasing for Fassmer, an international family-owned company. Analyze procurement markets, develop strategies, and conduct negotiations with suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Analyze the procurement market for the defined commodity groups and develop global material sourcing strategies in cooperation with relevant internal stakeholders
- Contribute to the further development of the purchasing organization by optimizing purchasing as well as upstream and downstream processes
- Build a sustainable supplier portfolio with consideration for quality, cost, delivery time and risk minimization
- Conduct price and contract negotiations with national and international suppliers and ensure successful negotiation outcomes
- Active supplier and internal interface management and participation in interdisciplinary working groups and projects
- Ensure and enforce all contractual obligations toward national and international suppliers
- Identify and implement cost-reduction projects taking Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) into account
- Handle complete purchasing processes, including dunning/reminder management
Requirements
- Degree in a technical field or a technical vocational qualification with relevant further training
- Several years of professional experience in technical/industrial purchasing
- Excellent written and spoken German and English
- Confident user of ERP systems and MS Office applications
- Strong technical affinity
- High assertiveness, commitment and team spirit, as well as cost awareness and analytical thinking
