Responsibilities
Design and sizing of components, foundations, and ship structures, taking into account applicable standards and regulations, in collaboration with our design teams
Preparation and maintenance of documentation for the structural area
Development of technical concepts and decision-making proposals
Close cooperation with other design and manufacturing departments
Management and coordination of our design partners for the structural area
Responsible oversight of the ship structure assembly in a newbuilding project
Requirements
Degree in Shipbuilding (Naval Architecture) or Mechanical Engineering
Several years of professional experience in shipbuilding or the maritime industry
Experience using CAD software for component and structural design
Good MS Office skills and German and English language skills, both written and spoken
Strong communication and teamwork skills as well as commitment, flexibility, and resilience
