About the role

  • Civil Engineer 2 managing civil engineering projects for Facet combining planning, design, and execution in a supportive hybrid environment. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring project success.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, water/wastewater systems, and other infrastructure projects.
  • Design and assist with design of stormwater facilities
  • Conduct site visits and field investigations to gather data and assess project requirements.
  • Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Perform calculations and analyses to support project designs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals, budgets, and schedules.
  • Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Use WWHM for site modeling and stormwater facility design

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certification.
  • Interested or already has obtained Washington State PE
  • 2+ year of engineering experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in civil engineering software such as AutoCAD and MS Office Suite (preferred but not required).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Internship or co-op experience in a civil engineering environment (preferred but not required).
  • Familiarity with project management principles and practices preferred.
  • Familiarity with WWHM2012 is preferred
  • Familiarity with the Department of Ecology Stormwater Manual for Western Washington
