Responsibilities
Manage projects in the Global Trade area, delivering Customs and Foreign Trade services that involve strategic planning processes aimed at tax management, reviewing compliance with foreign trade obligations (imports and exports), analyzing the use of tax incentives in investment processes, internal controls and process improvement, and participating in supply chain security programs for customs activities;
Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client staff and assess their satisfaction;
Supervise daily fieldwork, report work status to supervisors, and manage team performance;
Develop people through effective delegation of tasks and by providing guidance to the team, offering feedback and training on performance;
Contribute ideas and opinions to the tax teams and listen to/be receptive to the viewpoints of other team members;
Have an understanding of EY's service lines and actively seek to encourage team members to contribute ideas and identify opportunities to apply the firm's services;
Direct fieldwork, manage team performance and keep leadership updated on engagements, documenting the highest-risk areas;
Continuously develop your understanding of current market trends and processes and share that knowledge to help develop the team;
Understand the unique needs and ambitions of our clients and refer them to colleagues in other teams and areas to expand our business relationships whenever possible.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Law, Business Administration, International Relations, Foreign Trade or Economics;
Advanced/Fluent English;
Solid knowledge of taxation applicable to the import and resale of goods in Brazil (e.g., Import Duty, IPI, PIS/COFINS and ICMS) and special customs regimes (e.g., Drawback, Temporary Admission, etc.);
Advanced verbal and written communication skills;
Commitment to teamwork and leadership.
