Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical wiring harness systems for vehicles or industrial equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
Create 2D and 3D harness routing using CAD tools (e.g., UGNX, Siemens NX, or Zuken E3).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineers to integrate harness designs into overall product architecture.
Generate and maintain detailed documentation including wiring diagrams, connector tables, and BOMs.
Conduct design reviews, DFMEA, and validation activities to ensure product reliability and manufacturability.
Support prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting of harness systems.
Interface with suppliers for component selection, cost optimization, and manufacturability feedback.
Requirements
BE in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with knowledge of automobile parts
Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring harness architecture, and component selection.
Proficiency in CAD tools for harness design (e.g., UGNX Electrical, Capital Harness, Zuken E3).
Familiarity with automotive or industrial standards (e.g., ISO 26262, IPC/WHMA-A-620).
Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
Experience with PLM systems and change management processes.
