About the role

  • Project Manager coordinating engineering and construction management projects with clients and multidisciplinary teams. Ensuring safe, compliant, and timely project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize and monitor all phases of projects (engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning), according to the chosen delivery method.
  • Prepare and maintain project plans, budgets, schedules, risk matrices, issue logs and communication plans.
  • Attend project follow-up meetings and, when required, facilitate them and prepare meeting minutes.
  • In collaboration with the assigned Project Controls Officer (PCO), manage change control, track costs and analyze variances between planned and actual performance.
  • Collaborate with the various engineering disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical, I&C) to ensure consistency and quality of technical solutions.
  • Coordinate the work of contractors, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Actively participate in site meetings, site visits and inspections.
  • Contribute to initial estimating, feasibility analyses and tendering processes.
  • Prepare and review contract documents, technical specifications and scopes of work in collaboration with discipline leads.
  • Assist the senior project manager with the management of contract amendments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (construction engineering and membership in good standing with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) are major assets).
  • Master’s in Construction Management or PMP/CAPM/PMI certification (distinctive asset).
  • Minimum 2 to 5 years of project management experience within an engineering firm or general contractor.
  • Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written.
  • Availability for occasional travel to construction sites or client facilities in the Greater Montreal area.
  • Strong command of project management tools: Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), MS Project, Primavera (asset), Smartsheet, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore (asset).
  • Ability to use plan and 3D model visualization software (AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Revit, Revizto).
  • Proven skills in estimating, planning and budget control.
  • Rigour, strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Problem-solving mindset and collaborative approach to work.
  • Excellent writing skills and clear, structured, results-oriented communication.
