Manage operations and international projects in the energy sector at EXP, coordinating technical and business development activities.
Responsibilities
Analyze and approve tenders;
Prepare bids in response to tenders;
Manage and prepare service proposals;
Participate in coordination meetings;
Communicate project direction and objectives consistently;
Ensure company rules and policies are followed;
Serve as the liaison between clients and the company;
Provide leadership within the project team;
Consistently communicate issues (budgets, schedules, constraints, specific requirements) and technical information to execution team members;
Ensure teams work cohesively to achieve overall objectives, prioritizing interdisciplinary coordination;
Implement changes when needed to improve the efficiency and profitability of each project;
Coordinate technical and administrative aspects of projects with discipline leads and clients;
Properly perform administrative, technical, and financial tasks related to projects;
Manage project budgets to achieve expected results;
Conduct rigorous follow-up on ongoing work, accounts receivable, and project progress statuses;
Ensure the financial performance of the project portfolio and identify needs for additional budget based on project additions and recommendations;
Ensure client satisfaction and that services delivered meet expectations: deliverables, budgets, and schedules;
Act as the project manager on single-discipline or multi-discipline projects with all associated responsibilities;
Determine the quality control process required for the project in accordance with the quality system requirements and ensure its implementation.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, civil engineering or other equivalent training;
More than 5 years of relevant experience, ideally with an engineering consulting firm;
Relevant experience in power generation/ transmission for international projects (hydroelectric, wind, solar, etc.);
Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);
Ability to solve complex problems and manage risks in accordance with organizational policies when developing and implementing strategies to ensure client satisfaction and achieve profitability objectives;
Proficiency in French, both written and spoken;
Basic knowledge of English (beginner). You may occasionally need to communicate with internal partners located elsewhere in Canada or the United States, orally and primarily in writing.
