About the role

Responsibilities
- Plan and allocate discipline resources to projects.
- Collaborate closely with project managers to monitor budgets, schedules and quality.
- Monitor performance indicators and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, partners and other internal disciplines (controls, substation civil engineering, etc.).
- Provide technical leadership for electrical switchgear projects (medium and high voltage).
- Mentor and support engineers and technicians in the design, verification and implementation of technical solutions.
- Participate in project planning, review of plans and specifications, and cost estimation.
- Oversee technical assessments and ensure compliance with applicable standards (Hydro-Québec, CSA, etc.).
- Take part in recruiting, onboarding and developing team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Licensed member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including time in engineering consulting.
- Strong knowledge of standards and codes applicable to electrical switchgear.
- Proven experience in medium and high voltage, including Hydro-Québec specifications.
- Technical leadership, strong organizational skills and the ability to mobilize a team.
