Responsibilities
Plan and allocate discipline resources to projects.
Collaborate closely with project managers to monitor budgets, schedules and quality.
Monitor performance indicators and implement corrective actions as needed.
Maintain effective communication with clients, partners and other internal disciplines (controls, substation civil engineering, etc.).
Provide technical leadership for electrical switchgear projects (medium and high voltage).
Mentor and support engineers and technicians in the design, verification and implementation of technical solutions.
Participate in project planning, review of plans and specifications, and cost estimation.
Oversee technical assessments and ensure compliance with applicable standards (Hydro-Québec, CSA, etc.).
Take part in recruiting, onboarding and developing team members.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Licensed member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including time in engineering consulting.
Strong knowledge of standards and codes applicable to electrical switchgear.
Proven experience in medium and high voltage, including Hydro-Québec specifications.
Technical leadership, strong organizational skills and the ability to mobilize a team.
