About the role

  • VBA Reporting Analyst responsible for creating automated reports and ensuring data accuracy. Collaborating with global teams and utilizing Excel macros and BI tools in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create and validate reports using Excel, PowerPoint, and macros to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Consolidate time-bound reports into standard client templates.
  • Perform rigorous data quality checks to maintain >99% accuracy across all reporting deliverables.
  • The analysts must demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
  • Document data flows and mappings (DFD/ERD) and assist in drafting future-state Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).
  • This role requires an understanding of MS Visual Basic macro programming and the ability to troubleshoot and correct errors produced in the macro execution process.
  • Maintain deliverable logs and cycle metrics to track turnaround time (TAT) and SLA adherence.
  • Reduce manual touchpoints by implementing macro-based automation and template standardization.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, automation, readiness, and SLA

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in **Business Intelligence, Business Analytics**, or **Data Engineering**.
  • Minimum **3 years of experience** in a data analytics role; exposure to financial or claims environments is preferred.
  • Proven expertise in **VBA programming** and advanced proficiency in **MS Excel, PowerPoint, **and** Word**, including macro development.
  • Strong hands-on experience in **data extraction and manipulation** from relational databases, preferably **Oracle**.
  • Exceptional **written and verbal communication skills** with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to **manage multiple priorities**, ensuring effective time management and organizational efficiency.
  • Advanced **problem-solving capabilities** with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Comfortable working in a **fast-paced, dynamic environment** and adept at handling evolving requirements.
  • Practical experience with at least one **BI reporting tool** such as **Power BI, OAC**/ **OBIEE** or other such tools.
  • Strong **troubleshooting skills** with a commitment to taking ownership of issues and delivering resolutions.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across **global teams**, demonstrating cultural awareness and adaptability.
  • Highly **self-motivated**, capable of working independently as well as within cross-functional teams.
