About the role

Responsibilities
- You are responsible for a diverse purchasing area and represent our purchasing requirements in cross-functional committees and projects
- You take on operational purchasing responsibility for powertrain scopes and the global coordination of purchasing activities
- You develop supplier strategies and implement them in coordination with Development and Supply Chain Management, taking into account global sourcing opportunities
- You obtain quotes for new parts, analyze them and select suppliers based on price, quality, logistics and technical characteristics
- You prepare and conduct negotiations, including in English
- You draft standard and individual contracts in cooperation with our Legal department
- You optimize material costs in collaboration with Development and other departments
- You further develop procurement standards, processes and systems
Requirements
- You have a completed degree in business administration, engineering or a related field
- You bring experience in purchasing or materials management, gained through professional work or an internship
- You possess strong strategic and analytical thinking skills and demonstrate high social and intercultural competence
- You are experienced in IT tools, e.g., Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, (optionally Power BI) and SAP
- You present yourself confidently and appropriately and show assertiveness and sound judgment across different hierarchy levels and when dealing with internal and external partners
- You are willing to travel occasionally
