About the role

  • Specialist in FinOps at Evertec ensuring governance and cost optimization in cloud environments across Brazil. Collaborating with various teams to drive financial transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial governance practices in cloud computing environments, ensuring continuous cost optimization, operational efficiency, process improvement and alignment between IT, Business and Finance.
  • Act as a technical and strategic point of reference, driving the organization’s FinOps maturity and ensuring cloud investments are sustainable, traceable and value-generating.
  • Develop and evolve FinOps strategies in multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Create financial governance models, budgets, forecasts and executive reports.
  • Implement cost-optimization practices such as rightsizing, reservations, savings plans, automation and shutdowns.
  • Conduct deep consumption analyses and propose data-driven improvements.
  • Monitor KPIs for efficiency, predictability and cost accountability.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, architecture, engineering, security and finance teams.
  • Define and optimize tagging, chargeback/showback and cost allocation policies.
  • Develop automations and integrations for cloud financial management.
  • Participate in governance committees and lead FinOps rituals (such as the build–measure–optimize cycle).
  • Ensure adherence to the best practices of the FinOps Foundation Framework.
  • Act as an internal consultant for architecture and modernization initiatives aimed at continuous optimization.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in cloud governance, consumption measurement and billing models.
  • Advanced experience with native tools such as Azure Cost Management + Billing, AWS Cost Explorer and GCP Billing Reports.
  • Advanced experience with market tools such as Cloud8, PierCloud, CloudHealth and/or Cloudability.
  • Experience implementing and managing methodologies: tagging strategies, Chargeback/Showback, budgets, alerts and dashboards.
  • Experience with cloud contracts (EA, MCA, RI, SP, Commitment Usages).
  • Bachelor’s degree completed.
  • The following are a plus:
  • Experience with the FinOps.org and FOCUS frameworks.
  • FinOps certification (Certified Practitioner) and certification from one of the cloud providers: Microsoft Azure, AWS and/or Google Cloud.
