About the role

  • Claims Analyst investigating and resolving first-party property damage claims for Eversource Energy. Collaborating with outside counsel and representing the company in court as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and resolving first-party property damage and subrogation claims through final disposition, within established authority levels.
  • Evaluates liability and communicates company position to the party responsible for causing damage to company property, or their insurance carrier.
  • Investigate and resolve first-party property damage and subrogation claims within assigned authority and experience level.
  • Coordinate assigned litigation and collaborate with outside counsel in support of property damage recovery efforts.
  • Represent the Company in court proceedings involving facilities and property damage claims, as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • A minimum of one (1) or more years of claims handling experience or related collections experience is required.
  • Three (3) or more years claims experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of gas and electric distribution systems is also preferred.
  • Connecticut Casualty Adjuster’s License required, or ability to obtain within one (1) year of hire.
  • Valid motor vehicle driver’s license.
