Event Management Specialist collaborating with procurement to secure hotels and manage event logistics for EventConnect. Focused on enhancing communication and support for hotels and attendees.
Responsibilities
Lead in managing incoming inquiries across the hotel's phone, inbox and live chat, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional response
Support the EMC team as needed, with incoming inquiries within the Hotels inbox.
Contact assigned hotels to confirm reservations, ensuring all booking details (confirmation numbers, guest names, room types, and dates) are accurate for reservations, changes & cancellations.
Monitor and manage event performance for cross-department strategy meetings.
Perform market research
Draft, review & approve hotel contracts as required, including assisting with loading contract data into the EventConnect software.
Assist our Hotel Procurement Team in following up with outstanding contracts and proposals.
Potential for supporting Event Management Specialists with other administrative duties, including assisting with oversells and responding to hotel inquiries.
Assist with various tasks within the operations department as it pertains to hotel relationships.
Assist with check-in issues as needed.
The individual will be expected to provide periodic coverage for the after-hours emergency line and may be scheduled for limited holiday availability as business needs require.
Requirements

Knowledge of the hotel industry and brand standards
Intimate knowledge of contracts and the ability to contract
Ability to calculate revenue minimums and understand revenue targets

A University or College graduate
