Responsibilities
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts in German and English across various areas of the MedTech business
Providing legal guidance to the business on innovation projects, product launches, and product and brand management
Conducting legal analyses and legal risk assessments across multiple jurisdictions
Converting legal analyses into legal opinions and ensuring implementation of conclusions within the necessary business processes
Promoting transparency and establishing standards in the business by helping to build and maintain compliant internal processes and IT-based routines
Further developing close cooperation with internal functions such as IP, Sourcing, Quality, Clinical Affairs and Regulatory Affairs, as well as Product Management and Marketing
Requirements
Successfully completed legal studies (above average; for Germany: “vollbefriedigend”) in a major European jurisdiction
Business-fluent in German and English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus
Specialization in (unfair) competition law and/or medical devices / medicinal products law
1–4 years’ experience as external counsel in an international business law firm or in an in-house legal department within the MedTech / Pharma sector
