Responsibilities
Lead Financial analysis, planning and operations
Manage budgeting, forecasting and long-term Financial planning process
Generate and manage reporting and analysis to assist in company decision making and reporting metrics to the board
Manage Financial vendors including banks, credit cards, software and tooling
Manage outsourced teams including ongoing CPA support, annual tax accountants, state filings and registered agents
Ensure compliance with financial processes, systems and policies
Provide oversight on tax, internal controls and audit-related matters
Assist in reviewing new and existing customer contract pricing and payment terms
Spearhead all invoicing, AP and AR processes
Operationalize spending at Esper in a culturally conscious way
Oversee business inventory and assets
Requirements
At least six years of experience working in Financial analysis and management, preferably in an environment dealing with technology and/or SaaS products
Knowledge of Financial compliance measures
Experience overseeing accounting, tax filing and state incorporation functionality
Experience with a variety of organizational and financial tools including (or similar to): Gsuite, Quickbooks, bill.com, Excel, Rippling etc
Exceptional organizational skills, resourceful, reliable, and detail-oriented
Ability to work independently and autonomously within a distributed team while soliciting feedback when necessary
Ability to think strategically around trade-offs and short term vs. long term benefits
Exceptional analytical skills
