About the role

• Banking Analyst supporting the daily processing of banking transactions for EMEA Finance team. Collaborate with internal teams ensuring month-end accuracy and effective documentation processing.

Responsibilities

• Review automated bank feeds in SAP and manage the transition of entries from clearing accounts to the appropriate general ledger accounts.
• Research and resolve unallocated transactions that fall outside established automation rules, including identifying direct debits, payroll entries, and miscellaneous bank fees.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Branch Managers) to identify unknown transactions and obtain supporting documentation.
• Monitor shared inboxes and team folders to gather and organize documentation for manual postings.
• Maintain high-volume, high-accuracy data entry standards, with the objective of clearing all outstanding items before monthly close.
• Prepare bank account reconciliations to ERP for review by the Banking Lead or Controllership.
• Support the controllership team during statutory and group audits by providing reconciliations and requested documentation.
• Work with branch teams to ensure timely and accurate recording of branch-initiated bank transactions and assist in resolving discrepancies.
• Identify recurring transaction patterns and suggest improvements or new automation rules to the Banking Lead.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a relatable function
• A high level of English proficiency
• Experience with SAP or other large ERPs is preferred
• Basic understanding of accounting including debits, credits and how clearing accounts operate
• Accounting qualification or related university degree
• Strong accuracy and consistency when processing high transaction volumes
• Ability to research unfamiliar transactions and recognize recurring patterns
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with EMEA stakeholders
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet month-end deadlines
