About the role
- Cloud and Identity Manager overseeing Azure cloud and identity operations for logistics client. Driving governance, automation, and Zero Trust initiatives in South Africa.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage day-to-day operations and strategic evolution of enterprise Azure environments
- Design and govern Azure platform architecture
- Establish and enforce Azure governance standards
- Lead cloud financial management (FinOps)
- Implement automation-first cloud operations
- Enable secure self-service provisioning for application teams
- Monitor platform performance and reliability
- Oversee enterprise identity and access management
- Support Zero Trust and identity protection initiatives
- Lead and develop a global team of cloud and identity engineers
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, architecture, finance, and application teams
- Support cloud and identity integration activities during mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or related
- 8+ years experience in Azure Cloud Engineering or Platform Operation
- Experience with people management
- Strong experience with Azure services, governance and platform design
- Experience implementing FinOps Practices in Azure
- Experience building automation and self-service cloud platforms
- Excellent knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID, Conditional Access and MFA
- Familiarity with Silverfort or similar Identity Security Platforms
- Experience with Automation (PowerShell, Bicep/ARM and CI/CD pipelines)
