About the role
- Product Owner shaping software solutions that drive business value at Emerson. Collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver high-impact digital products.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Customers to define and refine product requirements and user stories.
- Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable technical specifications.
- Lead discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, and workshops to gather and validate requirements.
- Analyze existing systems and processes to identify improvement opportunities and technical gaps.
- Create and maintain documentation such as process flows, data models, and system diagrams.
- Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring alignment and clarity throughout the development lifecycle.
- Assist in QA and UAT efforts by defining test cases and validating functionality against requirements.
- Support Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the continuous improvement of business analysis practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a business analyst role within a software or technology environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and product lifecycle management.
- Proven ability to work with APIs, data structures, and modern software architectures.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
