About the role
- IT Scrum Master leading Agile teams, mentoring on Scrum practices under Sr. Program Manager's guidance. Emphasizing collaboration and transparency in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Guide and mentor the team on Agile/Scrum practices and values.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Remove obstacles and blockers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Support Product Owner in managing the product backlog and ensuring clarity of User Stories.
- Foster a collaborative and self-organizing team environment.
- Track and report on team progress using Agile metrics (e.g., burndown charts, velocity).
- Assess and lead project risk mitigation efforts.
- Protect scope, schedule, cost, quality, resource allocations and adjust if vital.
- Track and drive resolution of issues and problems that occur during the project or Program Increment Lifecycle. Advance concerns to various levels of management.
- Evaluate resource capacity and coordinate needs within a matrix organization.
- Promote continuous improvement and help teams identify and implement process improvements.
- Ensure transparency and alignment across teams and collaborators.
- Act as a servant leader and advocate for Agile principles across the organization.
- Be open to learning and implementing other methodologies like waterfall.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Business, or related field.
- Demonstrated ability of minimum 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
- Excellent facilitation, mentoring, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Experience working with multiple teams in a global environment.
- Experience with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
- Experience in Lucid, Mural or similar.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Project, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
