About the role

  • Procurement Specialist at Embracon managing annual contract negotiations and supplier relationships. Focused on cost reduction and strategic sourcing methodologies with directorate support.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the annual contract negotiation plan;
  • Support Directorates in preparing the annual procurement budget;
  • Develop/validate supplier relationships;
  • Conduct bids with suppliers (BID);
  • Analyze financial scenarios and supply costs;
  • Review proposals and prepare contract drafts for approved suppliers;
  • Negotiate and oversee contract initiation and renewals with selected suppliers;
  • Receive and evaluate quotations received (quality, lead time, cost, etc.);
  • Proceed with contracting the selected supplier according to internal policies and procedures;
  • Lead and manage the area's technical processes;
  • Apply Strategic Sourcing methodology to the assigned portfolio;
  • Present and validate the portfolio strategic plan with the Department Head.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering (Production, Mechanical) or related fields;
  • Advanced MS Office skills;
  • Perform product categorization;
  • Conduct price adjustment analyses;
  • Strategic Sourcing expertise;
  • Knowledge of Kraljic matrix, TCO, etc.;
  • BATNA (Best Alternative to a Negotiated Agreement);
  • Focus on reducing costs in current and new contracts while maintaining or improving quality;
  • Guardian of procurement and contract policy; decisive leadership with support from the Head of the area.

  • Forces analysis and market analysis for complex negotiations;

  • Ability to support the development of the department's strategy;
  • Work collaboratively with business areas to understand and propose scope changes;
