Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the Quality department and drive the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
- Strengthen and further develop the quality management system (ISO 9001, IATF 16949)
- Use data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify improvement opportunities and support fact-based decision making
- Reduce waste and optimize workflows in collaboration with production and engineering teams
- Lead supplier development in the area of quality, conduct audits and implement performance improvement initiatives
- Manage customer relationships on quality matters, including claims, corrective actions and performance tracking
- Execute Lean transformation projects (5S, Kaizen, etc.) and engage operational teams
- Ensure successful implementation and ongoing maintenance of certification systems
- Promote a proactive approach to quality, safety and continuous improvement across the organization
Requirements
- Completed technical training or a degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable qualification
- At least 5 years of professional experience in a leadership role in quality or continuous improvement, ideally in the automotive or metal industry
- Solid knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and hands-on experience with quality tools
- Proven success in implementing Lean methods and achieving measurable performance improvements
- Experience in supplier development and conducting audits
- Strong leadership, analytical and communication skills
- Fluent in Croatian, and very good English or German skills, both written and spoken
