Responsibilities
Reviewing incoming legal and commercial queries and provide first-line guidance, escalating complex matters as needed
Drafting, amending, and managing contracts and legal documentation including NDAs, master service agreements, and supplier contracts
Negotiating a subset of commercial contracts with financial customers and industry suppliers, including NDAs, service orders and supplier contracts
Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory obligations, including document retention and GDPR/data privacy regulations
Maintaining the contracts database and document filing, ensuring consistency in file naming, version control, and access
Assisting with contract lifecycle management, including renewals, variations, and termination tracking
Responding to client and internal stakeholder queries professionally and efficiently
Monitoring legal and regulatory developments impacting financial services and providing proactive guidance to the business
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or related field (Legal qualification preferred)
Minimum of 3 years experience in a legal, contract management, or legal administration role
Experience with commercial contract negotiation and drafting
Strong knowledge of commercial and financial contracts, legal terminology, and regulatory frameworks relevant to financial services
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and internal teams
Proven ability to handle confidential information and work to tight deadlines
Excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and analytical skills
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a high-performance environment
