Responsibilities
- Reviewing incoming legal and commercial queries and provide first-line guidance, escalating complex matters as needed
- Drafting, amending, and managing contracts and legal documentation including NDAs, master service agreements, and supplier contracts
- Negotiating a subset of commercial contracts with financial customers and industry suppliers, including NDAs, service orders and supplier contracts
- Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory obligations, including document retention and GDPR/data privacy regulations
- Maintaining the contracts database and document filing, ensuring consistency in file naming, version control, and access
- Assisting with contract lifecycle management, including renewals, variations, and termination tracking
- Responding to client and internal stakeholder queries professionally and efficiently
- Monitoring legal and regulatory developments impacting financial services and providing proactive guidance to the business
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or related field (Legal qualification preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a legal, contract management, or legal administration role
- Experience with commercial contract negotiation and drafting
- Strong knowledge of commercial and financial contracts, legal terminology, and regulatory frameworks relevant to financial services
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and internal teams
- Proven ability to handle confidential information and work to tight deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and analytical skills
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a high-performance environment
