About the role

  • Finance Administrator responsible for procurement requests management in Bioresearch & Veterinary Services. Ensuring accurate conversion of goods and services requests into formal requisitions and timely supplier payments.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for accurately converting requests for goods and services into formal requisitions in our finance management software.
  • Monitoring the supply and receipting process.
  • Ensuring that suppliers are paid in a timely manner.
  • Careful management of supply chains for our department to ensure that vital supplies and equipment remain available at all times.
  • Responsible for processing service data and preparing internal recharge information.

Requirements

  • Highly skilled in IT, with practical skills in Microsoft Excel and/or finance management tools.
  • Proven administrative ability to work with a high level of accuracy, independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, with a service provision mindset.
  • Well-developed skills in planning and prioritising workload.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial systems in use in the University and associated legal frameworks such as VAT.
