About the role
- Quality Engineer responsible for developing quality control systems and resolving quality issues in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment. Investigating customer complaints and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage quality control systems to meet customer expectations
- Investigate and correct customer issues and complaints relating to quality
- Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications
- Formulate, document, and maintain quality control standards
- Review customer purchase orders, contracts, and change requests
- Work with purchasing to establish supplier quality requirements
- Design and implement methods for process control and inspection
- Promote quality standards and execute various quality plans and reports
- Serve as the primary Quality Assurance resource for problem identification and resolution
- Participate in internal and external quality audits
- Address Non-Conformances from audits and follow up on action requests
- Assist management team and provide QA support as necessary
- Report to management on quality issues and trends
- Maintain an active role on Continuous Improvement teams
Requirements
- ASQC Quality Engineering Certificate or equivalent work experience
- Basic understanding of quality management systems in an ISO 9001/AS 9100 environment
- Kaizen and Lean/Six-Sigma Manufacturing techniques preferred
- Experience with developing/documenting procedures desired
- Use of Quality Engineering methods in inspection desired
- Computer proficiency
- Must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) and 22 CFR 120.15
