Responsibilities
Ensure that all material tests are carried out and documented correctly and in accordance with the relevant instructions
Prepare, review and approve work and test instructions
Prepare, review and approve internal specifications (for raw materials, purchased films and products manufactured by contract manufacturers) in cooperation with Product Development
Ensure that stakeholder requirements are implemented and complied with
Monitor the handling of internal and external complaints
Personnel management, qualification and ongoing training of employees
Responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations, policies and obligations across the department
Initiate and track improvements
Optimize workflows
Requirements
Degree in Printing and Media Technology, Chemical Engineering or a related field
Alternatively, completed vocational training as a Media Technologist, Chemical-Technical Assistant (CTA), Physical-Technical Assistant (PTA) or Chemical Laboratory Technician, with many years of professional experience and further training
Several years of laboratory experience in material testing of packaging for food, pet food and medical devices
Very good technical understanding
Leadership experience
Several years in quality assurance for packaging in the food, pet food or medical device sectors
Solid knowledge of applicable measurement and analytical methods (DSC, GC, IR and others)
Experience with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016
Additional knowledge of ISO 11607-1 and FSSC 22000 desirable
Proficient user of MS Office applications
Good written and spoken English
