About the role

  • Engineering Services Technician responsible for safe, efficient repair of manufacturing equipment. Supporting Engineering Services Lead and Continuous Improvement initiatives on site.

Responsibilities

  • Direct responsibility for safe, efficient repair and servicing of manufacturing equipment
  • Perform preventative servicing and breakdown repairs in a timely manner
  • Diagnose the root cause of equipment breakdowns
  • Recommend future improvements to eliminate risks of failures
  • Support the Engineering Services Lead in planning and scheduling work
  • Maintain 6S standards in the Maintenance Workshop and Maintenance Stores area
  • Support Continuous Improvement initiatives across the site

Requirements

  • Time served apprenticeship in an Engineering discipline
  • Electrical engineering knowledge / hands on skills
  • Mechanical engineering knowledge / hands on skills
  • Working knowledge of PLC's, Robotics and other control systems
  • Experience in fabricating
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with limited supervision
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and calibration
  • General computer skills to include CMMS (C-Works) plus MS Office packages
  • Ability to present ideas and reports in written and verbal format
  • High safety awareness of self, others and surrounding environment
