About the role

  • Commercial Relationship Manager focusing on business development and credit underwriting at Eastern Bank. Engaging with clients on commercial relationships and cross-selling bank products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business development efforts identifying appropriate prospects
  • Take a leadership role representing Eastern Bank in business and community activities
  • Actively identify opportunities to cross-sell other bank products and services to customers and prospects
  • Review existing credit facilities and new credit applications, analyze credit quality
  • Present relevant data and recommendations to the Team Leader and Credit Committee
  • Maintain awareness of maturating credits, overdue payments
  • Work with Portfolio Managers to ensure timely financial information collection

Requirements

  • Proven underwriting abilities
  • 5 plus years’ experience in commercial real estate analysis and/or commercial banking
  • Formal bank credit training is preferred
  • Familiarity with top tier and middle market commercial companies within the New England marketplace
  • Proficient/computer literate in Microsoft Word and Excel
