About the role
- Operations & Maintenance Engineer managing operation and maintenance of decentralized energy generation plants in Belgium and the Netherlands. Collaborating with clients and ensuring compliance with safety standards while optimizing operational processes.
Responsibilities
- Operation supervision & maintenance of on-site power/heat generation plants
- Guidance, advice and assistance to our clients with the exploitation of our plants
- Work clearance management and supervision of maintenance activities with knowledge of instrumentation & control
- Ensuring compliance with HSE standards and behaving mindfully and prioritising safety
- Analysis of plant-related issues (defects, incidents, etc.) with implementation of the proper solution
- Identification of optimization measures and negotiation of customer and supplier agreements
- Troubleshooting and implementation of measures during unplanned downtimes, acting independently within the defined operational framework
- Participation in an on-call service and preparation of incident reports
Requirements
- Higher technical degree or similar qualification with experience in the operation and maintenance of technical installations preferably in power generation and utilities
- Project management skills with good knowledge of process technology and automation
- Collaborating with empathy and inclusivity in a multidisciplinary team with interest in process and technical topics
- Fluent in Dutch (C2) and business fluent in English (C1), other language skills are a plus
- Stress resistant and consistently responsive with good communication and social skills
- Dynamic, independent and flexible person with a strong sense of responsibility
- Flexible mobility across Belgium and the Netherlands, typically spending three days on-site and two days in the office
