Network Support Engineer building and managing a new DevOps team at DXC Technology. Leading troubleshooting and supporting network technologies for a mature enterprise client.
Responsibilities
Leading deep-level troubleshooting in conjunction with vendor and third-party support
Planning and implementing normal, standard, or emergency changes within the applicable technology platform
Proactively anticipating issues or situations which impact service quality
Participating in Root Cause Analysis and Problem Management lifecycle activities
Building good awareness of the customers’ business and environment, supporting processes and adopting new technologies
Participating in on-call duty shift schedule
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication or equivalent
Min. 5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering or network support
Deep knowledge in TCP/IP, routing (OSPF, BGP), switching (Ethernet, STP, LACP, VTP) and other network technologies and protocols
Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Infrastructure Libraries (ITIL) processes
Good communication and documentation abilities
Fluent English
Cisco CCNP or other equivalent or higher network certification (advantage)
Experience with F5 BigIP Load Balancers, Cisco 9800 controllers, Aruba networks, Cisco ISE or Aruba ClearPass (advantage)
Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus switching platforms and willingness to quickly learn, certify and support Cisco ACI solutions (advantage)
