About the role

  • Data Manager leading data-driven decision-making across the organization at Dun & Bradstreet. Developing and managing critical data elements in the D&B Data Cloud to meet client requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the quality, availability, and governance of enterprise data, which is necessary for operational excellence and long-term scalability.
  • Develop and implement roadmaps and initiatives through cross-functional partnerships to improve, expand and grow critical data element data quality.
  • Understand how critical data elements are processed globally and set data quality standards and guidance for data operations teams. Work with data quality and data supply chain teams to monitor and measure the data against these standards.
  • Proactively review data quality results, issues and observations on a regular basis to ensure data quality is maintained and improved. Provide guidance and support to regional teams.
  • Develop and publish directives on how data should be managed throughout its lifecycle.
  • Understand client insights, usage behaviors and requirements for their assigned CDE/Domain.
  • Support client-facing teams in understanding critical data elements and engage product teams to identify business needs and develop, implement, and manage the data asset. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key business and technology stakeholders.
  • Serve as a role model, inspiring innovation and teamwork within the team and across departments.
  • Continually evaluate processes for improvement, taking the lead in developing and executing plans. Develop innovative alternatives and modern approaches to enhance the areas of our business under our control.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data & analytics and apply them to improve existing processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field. Master’s Degree is a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in data management (data quality, data governance, data stewardship, master data management) or a related field.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, many of which have challenging timelines.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Passionate and curious about data with the ability to query and analyse datasets in order to drive fact-based decisions. Ideally experience with a range of data analysis tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Regex, Python, Looker, Big Query, Power BI, Snowflake, Databricks).
