About the role

  • Principal Data Scientist serving as a tech lead driving Marketing Data Science for Fanatics Commerce. Owning marketing modeling areas and delivering impact through data science and machine learning.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the marketing data science strategy across lifecycle optimization
  • Independently lead large-scale and complex data science initiatives
  • Take full ownership of project execution
  • Develop advanced statistical models and ML systems
  • Act as a thought partner to senior marketing and product leaders
  • Advance analytical and ML capabilities
  • Establish best practices for modeling and experimentation
  • Provide technical mentorship and uplevel data scientists
  • Drive cross-organizational alignment through storytelling
  • Collaborate closely with engineering partners
  • Partner with CRM, Digital Marketing, Data Engineering, and ML Engineering
  • Communicate complex insights clearly to audiences

Requirements

  • BS or higher in a technical or quantitative field
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in marketing data science or related disciplines
  • Demonstrated expertise in marketing science use cases
  • Strong proficiency in applied statistics and ML
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead complex analytical initiatives independently
